I like this. Like a get away place.

Wonder if this is a bed and breakfast. Very nice.

Why wouldn't they have at least made the bed for these photos? I love the shabby chic look but take out half of the furniture in those rooms. Too cluttered.

I partially agree with your points on this, @ID2 -- a tiny bit of "pruning" and straightening up would make it even more appealing, I think...

This is another house/cottage that is nicely done if you're into that style but it's not for me.

Oh, @GSPgirl, if it's a pretty greige you are looking for, may I suggest either "Edgecomb Gray", or "Revere Pewter", very popular historical colors by Benjamin Moore?  To me they are the perfect compromise between beige and gray-- really they are warm grays with a hint of beige-ey to keep from looking cold.  Edgecomb is lighter, Revere has a bit more pigment.

Thank you!  I bought samples  of Edgecomb Gray and Pale Oak, which is a lighter version.  I live in the forest and my house can seem dark.  I painted the interior BM Cottontail, which is a buttery yellow.  I know gray is so popular, but I just don’t want my house to seem dark.  I love Revere Pewter, too.  It might be a bit dark for my downstairs.

Ain't it the truth, dear @GSPgirl,  and don't we all depend on that?  Gentle hugs, and stay chipper, my dear!
