@lolakimono  Love it! Going to show my tween granddaughter as she is ready for a room makeover.

@mspatmac

I'm glad that you love it.  I try to find pictures for "inspiration" that I think will spark discussion, but it makes me happy when people like something enough to replicate it. I went to the designer's site, but there is only this one picture so unfortunately I can't tell what's in the rest of the room.  The pink ceiling is really cool.

I had white walls growing up, so guess how many white walls are in my house? Cat Wink

@lolakimono   I really like this room.  My granddaughter would flip over it because of all the shades of pink.  🥰

Re: BR for a Budding Fashionista

I had a pink & white room growing up. The eldest in a large family, I was the only one who had a room to myself, until the day I went to college, when my sister did not miss a beat and immediately claimed it.

It was, of course, the smallest bedroom. My mother could do anything around the house. She allowed me to choose wallpaper. I was ahead of the trends and chose a paper with a textured, "no-print print" of pink, white and a touch of gold shimmer . I remain a fan of wallpaper in small rooms, or even framed. That room was awesome.

I allowed my children, when they were older, to choose their room decor. The oldest was all about it. Has always liked architecture and design and still does. The younger did not care, as long as everything was red, black & gray. Has not changed much,either.

Pretty pink without being silly over-frilly.  I like it.

That's a cute story @queendiva .  I let my kids pick their colors for their rooms too.

Funny, they picked one shade off from each other and at totally different times.  They are 17 months apart and are more like twins.

I like the pink room, it's really pretty.  My sister and I always had pink walls in our room that we shared, it was never as fancy as this one though.

That is such a wonderful thing to let kids pick their own decorations, colors for their room. A good experience they will always remember fondly.

Our stepmother lived with our father at their beach house in the summer and she let us pick decorations and colors for our room. She was a talented seamstress too and made our curtains and bedspreads.

Mine was a beautiful turquoise print with yellow and green flowers, and I found driftwood and put my stuffed snake won at the boardwalk around my driftwood tree! It was one of the most beautiful rooms you ever saw

(objectively speaking of course😄).We would open our windows at night and go to sleep listening to the ocean waves.

I loved that room so much.

I would not normally go for pink, but this room changes my mind. I love it!
