These days, I buy rarely from QVC, but browsing online, came upon this 19" Rattan Woven Table Tray by designer Bobby Berk.  What I liked about it right away was the texture, the rounded rectangular lines, the mix of materials with the metal on the back of the handles.

So I ordered it on free shipping day, and it is really nice quality.  Because my house skews about 85% traditional and vintage, I love relaxing the feeling with more contemporary accessories.

Bobby Berk's tray is quality, and reminiscent of earlier versions of "modern", like Art Deco or midcentury style.  In fact, it reminded me of this cool authentic midcentury woven tray I spotted online recently at ebay or some other secondary source--

Screenshot 2023-11-11 at 1.29.23 PM.pngI immediately put mine on my old mahogany side table,

and loved the effect of 'old vs. new'...

A few other things I've noticed, but don't own:

Bobby Berk's fun little ceramic taper holders look very mixable too-

Am I wrong in thinking that, by and large, QVC has a lot fewer "modern" or modern-ish lines of decor, than they do traditional ones?  I think it's a legit marketing decision for them, depending on what they think their buying customers want.

Besides Bobby Berk, QVC has Bright Bazaar, Lauren McBride, and a few other more modern lines.  Even they are sort of soft modern, subject to coastal or organic influences.

Bright Bazaar by Will Taylor has this sleek pair of 16" Wooden Table Lamps--

Aren't they rich looking?  And again, they look great and lighten the mood when paired with antiques--

Like I said, I could be wrong that QVC doesn't highlight these lines as much as some others, b/c I'm rarely watching the channel.  But I hope they're not phasing any of them out-- it's fun to have a variety.

My very favorite source for retro-modern, Art Deco and midcentury influenced ideas, is Crate and Barrel's sister store, CB2.   Always something pretty to look at at CB2, if you like modern, like these bulbous hurricanes and votives-

Or this very Deco marble lamp--

Thank you @Oznell

I'm going to look into the candle holders.

I've purchased quite a bit from Lauren McBride, she had some beautiful wind chimes last year that went on an unbelievable sale price that I purchased for gifts. Everyone loved them.

@DSD2 ,  wind chimes!   That's a great idea for a unique gift.  No wonder they were well-received.

I haven't purchased from Lauren McBride, but have really liked a LOT of her things online.  It's great to know that you've been pleased with her items.   She has a clean, breezy style.

@Oznell

Nice find, I love that tray.

I also love mixing a little of a different style into my interior, the juxtaposition  just adds so much more interest and character.

I really like the sleek wood lamps with the white shades.

I like the lamps (H268134).  They look like big chess pawns with lampshades (my husband thinks they look like pepper mills/grinders and I see that too).  Here are some other designs possibly inspired by board games: a bowl (H342814) that looks like a chess board, a rug (H279915) that brings to mind a backgammon board, and a chess queen pendant from Affinity Diamond (J408509):

QVC has many pretty pepper mills.  Here is a pretty copper plated pepper mill (K75679):
