This is one of designer Andrew Howard's most published rooms.  It might do nothing for those who dislike blue.

For blue lovers, I think the popularity and enchantment might partly be the way he's combined soft, dreamy sky blue, with dark blue-- not a combo that you see every day.

It's funny, it's actually a white room, but the blue moldings and blue ceiling, not to mention other elements, suggest otherwise.

The exotic Moroccan-tiled fireplace is showstopping, and is complemented by the dark blue couch and coordinating lamp.

I think he kept it warm with the jute rug, the lustrous wood coffee table (vintage), the rattan basket and mirror.  A burst of orange flowers, and the touches of warm brass don't hurt, either.

Interestingly, I've also seen the room flipped, with the couch on this side.   The little brass whale is a small nod to the fact that this is actually a beach house.

I never tire of seeing what other people have on their coffee tables....

The other rooms are nice, it's just that I love the living room!   Another great thing-- these deep, rich wood floors, showcased here in the kitchen.  Pale woods have been so fashionable and ubiquitous, it's nice to see something deep.  The second picture shows the kitchen flowing into the light green family room.

Andrew Howard does love blue, and green-- that's one reason I like him!   So nice that the family room has that bay window with the convivial little table...

Pretty lanterns and botanical and bird prints in the dining room.  While not overly fond of wallpapers, my favorites are subtle tone-on-tone ones this this one--

Here's the same room with its vaulted ceiling.  It's neat that they have varied ceiling heights in the house...

A more defined wallpaper is OK for me, in some instances-- like in this guest room, which I wouldn't be using. To me, this paper is rather handsome, but would not want it in a master bedroom.   Would love in a powder room.

Antique wicker, and a shingled porch, a classic.

Perhaps a bit formal but no complaints from this blue lover.

Blues are known to be difficult to complement. I'm not fond of his combination of blues in the living room.

The coffered ceiling in the bedroom is interesting.

I do love blue colors in a room, I feel it brings warmth and calm to the surroundings.  These rooms are lovely.  There is much appeal in the furniture, the couch and  print chairs.  I always love drapes, curtains, that is a plus for me. I also use books on tables for decor as I have stated before.  I love how people decorate coffee tables and side tables also.  The vaulted ceilings and porch, very appealing!!!!  All in all an inviting home!

I love all of the rooms - well except for that wallpaper in one of the rooms.  Egads, that hurt my eyes to look at it.  Not a fan of wallpaper anyway so would never want it.  Love all the other rooms though.

What a beautiful flow of color!  While this LR is a bit strong for me, it is beautiful and I can't take my eyes off of the coffee table.

Every room is treated as a fresh adjoining palette.  The kitchen is pretty, I prefer a deeper blue.  The bedrooms are wonderful with all of the patterns and variety.  That vaulted ceiling is a work of art!  I am in love with the dining room; everything in there is so pretty!

I would just stand in the doorway and stare!

@Oznell

I'm a lover of all things blue, and everything here is just my cup of tea - except for that busy wallpaper in the guest room. Hurts my eyes.  But all of the rest is sooo nice.

I like the blue except for that turq/aqua blue on the mouldings--at least that's what it looks like on my computer--not a fan

I dont like the turquoise on the molding or inlays-not sure what you call them. I also don't care for the wallpaper in the bedroom-too much for me. The blues are very pretty though.
