BISSELL SteamShot Handheld Steam Cleaner

Has anyone used one of these hand held steamers?  This Bissel is $41 at HSN right now, Item #781-570.  The video says you can use it on SS appliances and grout?  Those are the two locations I am looking for info on.  Does the steam break down the grout in any way?  What about caulk in the tub area or around the toilet?

I had one of these cleaners, I think it was a Bissell.  It was so loud that I hated it.  Also a mess to use.  I got rid of it, not sure if I returned or just donated.  Won't buy another.

Re: BISSELL SteamShot Handheld Steam Cleaner

I would be careful with it around caulking, especially the caulking you find in showers.  It never gets hard, so steamng it might soften it.  The one place in my shower where I get black spots is the caulking, so I just end up having to replace it once a year or so.

We used to have a handheld steamer.  I mostly used it for removing wallpaper.

And it's heavy....threw mine away

Try the rechargeable little scrubbers (kind of new - QVC or Amazon).  Apply water as needed - doesn't have water tank).

That steamer has been around for a long time.  Too much trouble to routinely use.

@MrsCat21

Thank you for posting this item.  I have been wanting to get one for a long time for various uses.  I went to Amazon and ordered it but it was $20 more to order the extension hose separately.  So I cancelled it and went to HSN and just ordered it and got $10 off because it was my first order.  Just now set up an account.

Again thank you and I can let you know how I like it after it arrives if you would like. It got pretty good reviews on both sites.

I don't plan to use it every day LOL!  I'm not that good of housekeeper. Woman LOL
