@stevieb   I went to the Target website and was surprised at their big selection.  I found two vases that I really like. We have a store just 20 minutes from us.   I am hoping to get there today.   I see they also have a good pillow selection.  I'm looking for them, too. Thank you for putting me onto Target!

@jubilant  You may end up having to order online. Most of what shows up on the Target website is NOT going to be in the stores...

@stevieb   I found that out.  I'm not very familiar with Target but I did go back and order the one as they said it wasn't available in the stores.  I'm excited to get it.  It's supposed to be here by March 5th!

@stevieb   Here it is! It's considered French Country. I was looking for something in a light color that was neither rustic or modern....somewhere in between.   This stands 14" tall and is 7.5" wide.  I think it will go well with where I am headed with my great room.

This is one of my sofa pillows so you can see the colors I'm working with are all in this pillow. The vase will bring in some of this color, I think, at the other end of my great room.

@NickNack   Thank you!  It's definitely a work in progress.  I have that vaulted pine ceiling which makes it hard to determine what will work and what won't.  The lighter I go the more I'm liking it.

@jubilant  I don't know that I'd peg that pretty vase as French, but it's just lovely and I'm absolutely smittten with the pillow fabric you've chosen!! Did you find the vase at Target or elsewhere?

Re: BEST DECORATING ADVICE YOU'VE RECEIVED

Best advice I've come across and share is do what you love.  Don't worry about what is 'in' or what professionals say about decor, do what pleases you, and makes your home feel like you could be happy never leaving it.

Another good piece of advice is to be prepared to change your style and decor over time, should you feel the urge to do so. It isn't written in stone that once you chose a decor style and furnishings that you have to keep it till you die. Change as the spirit moves you, and feel no guilt in doing so.
