@ECBG ,  I just assumed it was actual stone.  Went back and looked, and I believe it is.

 

It is in an article on the "homedit" online site, called--

 

"Stone Backsplash Ideas That Will Work for Every Kind of Kitchen" 

 

As usual, I'd love to post the link, but links that I post almost always get swiftly removed.

 

It should come up easily with google.  How exciting that you are thinking of this!

I love the gray modern kitchen, but I don’t like the open shelving at all. I like top cabinets. You not only get storage, but balance as well.
