So I received a sale email for Micheals. Finally made it over there and they are stocking pumpkins, autumn color silk florals. That was quick.

Iโ€™m not surprised.  Retail is typically seasons ahead.  Qvc will start showing fall clothing sometime in July.

I heard Pat say that the other day! Wow. That is why vendors are always encouraging people to get their White Denim when they see it......

I think it's great.  My guess is that most people who would want to purchase summer decor have done so already, so the stores might as well add the stuff for next season to give shoppers enough time to plan out what they're going to do.  Michaels doesn't restock shelves after most seasonal items are gone, so if they have the space, they should use it.

@traveler  OK, so we had one week of hot weather, then three days of cold here.  Are you telling me that was my summer?  It's already fall?  I haven't even worn most of my summer clothes yet!   Smiley LOL

If you're a crafter or artist who sells your art, you need to have things finished before autum to sell or finished to decorate by autumn. Now is the time to start.

When I worked in retail, July 5th was the unofficial start of the Fall retail season. ๐ŸŒž๐Ÿ

we haven't HAD summer yet so I'm not ready to jump right into fall -- although I love fall items for decorating.  I think I enjoy it more than Christmas.

I guess somebody has to be the first, although the first week of June seems to be jumping the gun as it were. I expect to see fall/winter things show up next month, not that I need anything. Woman Very Happy
