Yes .. I thought about it after I posted .. definetly berries ....

and yes .. just s few ...and in a darker red... like maroon ....

I actually like it just the way it is .   I find it organic and elegant !   Some people just go overboard,  I like how it's simple but festive.

I love it!!  But I tend to go for "natural" elements in holiday decorating.  Greens, candles, white lights, etc.  I would probably add some white lights to this arrangement, but I would not add red bows or anything to detract from the organic look.

 I love it. I am not a red or bow person...I take the bows off of everything that has a bow attached and leave the greenery clean looking.

I too might add lights behind the garland but nothing else.

I don't like it at all the way it is.  The black doors, the grey surround, brown walls?  It looks too funereal to me.

 

I get they're going for "natural", but nature can be a bit brighter, too.  I'd have to add some color to it.
