So pretty--  I love the white chairs too, and the way they "relax" the formality of the dining room.

Also, the classic painted black-and-white floors in the stair hall, simulating tile or marble-- always a sophisticated touch.

@Oznell  So agree on the white chairs sort of balancing the somewhat staid formality of the dining room. While I fully admit to a preference for interiors that veer toward the traditional rather than the modern, I'm not always a fan of the stiff, formal dining rooms so often seen in traditional homes.

I'm sure it's a lovely home for some, but it's too opulent for my taste.  I like simple, uncluttered.  But that's just me!  I can still appreciate the artistry in a home like this.
