Good morning, MIO! I just want to tell you that you and your friends here on this thread are "enablers"!

I haven't watched a minute of CIJ, because I do NOT need one more piece of Christmas decorations... however, I do love finials. I have a few I've collected, not specifically for Christmas, including some old antique wooden ones. But I was reading this thread, and everyone seemed so excited, so I looked them up.

Now, what can I say? I have ordered two sets, one in red and one in gold. I got Lisa's sequined trees last year, wound up sending them back because the sequins were all coming off... I'm still finding sequins in my carpet! So instead of doing what I should have been doing this morning, I've been ordering Christmas decorations, in the middle of July in NC, with temps expected to be 98 degrees today!

So glad you've joined the ranks of the 'mindless'. We are a fun bunch, I will say!

I just don't think you can go wrong with finials. I know many people use them year round, as many don't scream Christmas.

It's horribly humid and warm here today (and we don't have air conditioning!!), so I've been putting up peaches, while watching, and sitting down to catch up every so often on here.

Come back often and keep us all company!

Seems since the "transition", there haven't been many of the more "infamous" threads where we used to see each other! I do visit Home and Kitchen etc. fairly often, but don't post too much.

Jayjay, Did you like Jill's gold set, too, or just Valerie's? I'm still soooo undecided about which finials I will buy.

I have used gift card codes in the past to order things and then decide to cancel. What happens: The entire purchase amount is put back into my member credits account at QVC. The money remains as member credits, and when I order something else, at checkout, the member credits amount will be displayed, and I can choose to use those credits to pay for that item.

You may want to clarify this with CS, but this has worked fine for me. HTH!

Off topic, but speaking of gift cards, If you have Discover Card Rewards points, you can buy yourself a $50 QVC E-Certificate (that means you can redeem the card online instantly) for only $45. This is what I did in anticipation of a CIJ purchase today. HTH!

I can still cancel my order and all colors are still available (they said they ran out of red yesterday but it's back) but I'll stay with Val's gold lighted ones for now. I have more colors in my home that would go with gold rather than silver and I want to use these year round.

Another instance where you will receive member credits is if you, for example, have a $50 gift card, and the item you go to purchase is only say $40 including shipping and tax. When you enter the card code at checkout, the unused amount, in this case $10, automatically goes to member credits for you to use on a future purchase. I hope that makes sense.

I hope you love your gold finials and that you can in fact feel good using them all year long. I kinda had that same thought in mind with Jill's set of 5, using at least a couple of them year-round, but I'm just so undecided based on the gold color question.
