Re: Anything Gray In the Home is Absolutely Gone?

I'm not a fan of grey in home interiors so I never jumped on that bandwagon. I prefer warm colors in my home.

I believe everyone should decorate their homes as they wish. I'm not going to change my home just to follow trends. My home is for my family and me. What others think doesn't matter.

Have a Good Night!

I think it is always a mistake to follow trends in decorating.  Why not do what you love, working in current elements that can be changed or modified.  It is expensive when that style goes out.

Take cues from your likes and the elements of your home.  We had a fireplace that was a sort of buff/peach colored brick and I was decorating in the then hot pink/mauve.  It clashed with the fireplace.

A decorator friend helped me incorporate peaches and pinks, greens and other colors that blended perfectly!  So the idea is keep up with trends but make them yours!  Make them work with your house, budget and style!

I like a light gray on a wall.

When you lose some one you L~O~V~E, that Memory of them, becomes a TREASURE.

My living room is shades of gray/tan/ivory and I don't intend to change it.  I like that color story.  When it comes to color for my home, I pay no attention at all to what columnists and influencers say.

I like it.

My home is decorated to my and my husband's liking.

I have grey carpeting in the hallway and front bedrooms that was installed more than 30 years ago. It needs replacing but I like the color. I would like to put lvp in those areas.

Friends of mine built a house about 10 years ago, to sell for part of their retirement income. Since they knew it would need to appeal to younger people, she used a popular web site and did everything they recommended. It was beautiful, much like homes seen on HGTV. It was very grey. It sold for way way more than they were asking.

When I moved into my new house , I had a new gray multi colors in my showers , very nice. No one will dictate what colors I have chosen . I paid for m choices and when some says different , then they will be obligated to pay . My choices my money !!

My gray is in my bathroom floors. My showers are done in gray, black and white walls and black and white shower floors . My vanity is in gray tones .

These are my choices .

Not a fan, never a colour I lean to.  I lean toward jewel tones.
