Last summer at camp (where our clothes get much dirtier - it is CAMP after all) I tried the Aewesome oxygen detergent booster from the dollar store. the result truely was awesome. And it is just oxygen not a bunch of chemicals.

I have been buying mine at TJ Maxx. I believe Marshall's and Home Goods carries it too.
I agree with th Poster who said she thought her clothes held up longer. I buy nice stuff - and the items I wash NEVER feel as though there is a residue left over - HOWEVER - I now disolve the powder before adding to the washer. I had a small/wee bit of powder (?) once !

Wow, I'm surprised to see people like Nelliesa,. After seeing it on HSN, I bought a set from Amazon where I could get a less expensive, smaller, quantity to try. I tried it on a sheets load, a towels load, and mixed clothes load. I didn't feel the first two seemed clean, but since there were no stains to begin with, I didn't know for sure.
On the mixed clothes load, I was clearly able to see that Nellie's doesn't clean clothes. I had put a t-shirt in the load that had dirt on it from gardening., This was regular dirt, not a staining dirt like they have in Oklahoma (and other areas). The dirt area was not cleaned at all. I have never had issue getting my gardening clothes clean, prior to using Nellies. Without any further pretreating or laundry booster, I tossed that shirt into my next load, using my normal Costco detergent, and the dirt area washed right out.
This product is completely worthless for washing clothes, IMO. Yet I see that others here have different results. hmmm? Maybe it's because we have very hard water here, or because my washing machine is a worthless expensive Maytag that doesn't put enough water in the tub to properly launder anything. (although my regular detergent gets things clean.)
I wish I could give one of you my Nellies essentially full containers. I haven't been able to make myself throw out these full products, but all they are doing is taking up space in my cupboard. I have a house full of clutter because I hate throwing away things that are essentially unused and am very proud of myself when I even throw one thing in the trash. (I recently reorganized the cabinets under all the sinks in the house, and did throw away a few cosmetics, carpet cleaning and pet stain products that I had found worthless...yea!)
