Yes, I do remember seeing this room .  that color rug and the floral pattern on the furniture, too much for me.  However, that furniture was comfortable and I have always loved drapes/curtains, not these particular drapes though!!!!

Oh My Goodie, This room looks like my mom and dad's living room; along with many of my relatives.. It's the 70's all the way. Who could forget it? Unless you weren't born yet..LOL

I most definitely do. It kind of reminds me of Marie Barrone’s living room from Everybody loves Raymond

OMG we must have had rose colored glasses on in the 70's.

Boy did we have terrible taste....I remember it well.

My Mom and Dad never had furniture like this but I went to friends and family that absolutely had this style.

I still have a similar coffee table (from the 80's) in our family room.  Its study and love the storage in the bottom.  I store all of our picture albums there.

OMG ... fondly remembering the water bed...but wasn't that an 80's thing? My darling hubby had a water bed when we got married. It was warm, which I liked, but my goodness it was in an ugly wood platform thing. I think he thought every bachelor was supposed to have a water bed.

Re the coffee table, my mother had that table and the matching ugly side tables for YEARS. They did stand up to lots of wear and tear. Seems like she used Old English dark furniture polish that filled in dings and dents. They still sell that product...I Googled the name to see if my old lady memory came up with the correct product.

Actually, back then, that was a very much "in style" middle class look.  I know more than one family that had it and were proud of it. I suppose our kids and grandkids will look at what we have now in disbelief one day!
