We have had tempurpedic and a sleep number mattress. Had trouble with them. About three years ago we went to Sleepys and got a Beautyrest, cost about $3,000. It now has a sag/ hole in the center and is causing my husband backaches. If we are going to have to replace one every few years, I am not going to spend thousands again. We have a king bed.

Before you get a new mattress get in touch with Sleepy's. A mattress should last longer. They will send someone over to look at it.

I don't have a Saatva but have a Casper which is similar I think. I have a king size on an adjustable base and I love it. I've only had it two weeks but so far so good. I had a five year old Serta that I hated. On my Serta I was waking up with neck and back pain so bad every morning I couldn't stand it. I also looked at Temperpedic and Sleep Number but could not justify the $5,000 - $7,000 price tag even though the sales people tried to convince me it was only $100 a month for the next five years.

The Saavta, among others, was one on my list when I was doing my mattress research. I passed on it. We were moving from a $2000+ queen that we bought about 4 yrs. ago and hated from Day One (only help was a thick topper from Costco) to a king. I ended up taking a chance on a Classic Brands Gramercy 14" Hybrid (mix of coils and gel memory foam) from Wayfair that only cost me a little under $500. We LOVE it! The king price has gone up a bit since we bought ours, but still very affordable. We have it on a platform that we purchase from Amazon, which is very solid and has great storage capabilities underneath.

I had considered buying a Saatva. My neighbor had one and let me take a look at it. The bed was stripped of bedding and as soon as I walked in the room you could see the two body indentations in the mattress. The mattress was less than a year old! It was an easy decision after that -- no Saatva for me. I finally went with a Shifman that I purchased at Bloomingdale's. Pricey, yes, but well worth the cost -- flippable, handmade, natural materials.
