Re: Anyone have an adjustable bed?

@LilysmomI have a Sealy adjustable bed and love it. I've had it for a few years now, and it's much appreciated with the back issues I have. I sleep alone so just have a full size, DH needs his bedroom to be downstairs.

The sales woman gave me a tip on how to change the sheets easily. She told me to raise up the head or foot, whichever  part you were putting on the sheet, and you don't have to bend over as far as you would if the mattress were flat. It works great, and I thanked her for a long time afterwards! HTH pinky

Lurking

My next bed will be adjustable.

Nothing fancy.

I have a flat king now, I want more real estate in my BR, I will opt for a queen next time.

And wait for a sale.

Re: Anyone have an adjustable bed?

I just replaced our queen size bed with a King Saavta. I replaced our spare bedroom with a queen Adjustable Saavta. We are getting older and I wanted the adjustabale for sickness or back issues or heartburn etc. I am IN LOVE with the adjustable. Wish I had done this sooner. My DH would never use the adjustable side and I don't want a split King so thats why I opted for a regular in our room and an adjustable in the spare room I have taken several naps on it with it slightly raised at head and foot and I LOOOOVE it soo much. Very good purchases for this year.

Re: Anyone have an adjustable bed?

With it being thanksgiving there might be a lot of good sales on beds. If you go with a name brand most likely the sales price will be the same everywhere. I got mine at mattress warehouse. The sales guy was very helpful.

@ccassaday@Junker2327@software@pinky ann@AussieLuvr, what excellent feedback.  I really appreciate your comments.  I am tempted to buy one from Costco as their return policy is so good.  I am in Canada.  I will check out their brand name and post it here to see if anyone has any experience.

I am concerned about service.  Also, there is a Sleep Country here and a few other mattress stores.

Thanks again.  LM

Thank you for your feedback,  @qualitygal, why are sheets harder to change?  Is it because it is a split mattress?  LM

yes we have split mattresses.  but it's a good idea.  to do the sheets, we raise the top to put that part of the sheet on and do the same with the bottom.  mainly, it's because our bodies don't move as well, but we can do it, and we both are glad we got the mattresses.  it's good sleeping.

Re: Anyone have an adjustable bed?

Good Morning @Lilysmom  and Happy Thanksgiving! Wishing you and your DH and family a very blessed weekend.

Adjustable beds - yes we have one. Those salespeople don't even need to do much to 'talk' you right into buying one! The minute you walk into the store they have them just inside the door. "Here try this one, just lay on it for a minute, here's a remote for each of you."

Holy cow - well we really were interested in a tempurpedic. So that's what bought, queen sized because that's the size we had hence queen sized linens too. Well sure let's invest in one that adjusts too, just another mere thousand dollars or so!!!!  EGAD these are expensive for sure.

Here's what I'll say about adjustable beds - yes they are nice but if you don't buy king size, you cannot operate independently. Our queen moves the entire bed, both sides so if your partner does not want to be adjusted and yo do, well, predicament. We 'adjust' ourselves sometimes, he likes to have his head up while I do not sometimes. We work it out and then we're out.

If I had to do it over again, I'd stick with the brand but not an adjustable. Obviously I can't speak for other big brand names. Good luck and take your time in your search. TRY THEM ALL OUT THOUGH and buy what works BEST for y ou and your DH.

I just got mine about a month ago. I love it. I am disabled. I don’t even need a bed railing to get out of bed anymore. I got the ease 2.0 with a Sealy trust II hybrid mattress. I  have slept so well since getting it. The base I got has adjusteble legs. You can put it at 3, 6, or 9 inch height. Makes it nice because you can put it right where you need it.

I got the same bed and I love it,I live alone so can fix it what ever way I want. I watch a lot of tv so it's perfect, to adjust what ever suits you. I paid $2900.90 , so if you are interested to know the price. I  also use my Berkshire fleece sheets and they fit perfect.

I gave the price as maybe someone would like to think about, but I don't expect to ever buy another base again.

Re: Anyone have an adjustable bed?

The adjustable frame I bought had the brackets to attach a headboard. I have a queen size mattress, and I don't have any problems changing the sheets. The salespeople are usually  pretty knowledgable and can answer questions if you go out looking at beds.

Re: Anyone have an adjustable bed?

@Desert Lily@HLP@PINKdogWOOD, all good advice.  One thing that I get from reading the reviews is that some say after a couple of years either the adjustable mechanism stopped working or the mattress got way too soft.  It would be hugely disappointing to have that happen.  A good warranty is important I think.  Any of you had this type of bed for years?  LM
