I love pin looms: I discovered these little gems while learning rigid huddle weaving. I lived on EBay and have collected quite a few vintage looms....and then the Zoom Loom was introduced. I love the standard 4" pin looms, but I since discovered pin looms come in all sizes- from 2x 2" to 12" x 12"....My latest find however is a model that I had no idea existed: the ones I discovered can accommodate thicker yarns such as the very common worsted size-as opposed to being limited to thinner sock yarn.

The winter is closing in, and maybe you are looking for fun ways to use your down time indoors. I really do believe anybody can be taught to knit or crochet, but I understand some people just don't feel talented enough. This is one craft that anybody who can read can teach themselves. These squares and rectangles also lend themselves to combining knitting and crochet..... Check out Eloomnation to find out what it's all about.

Re: Any pin loom weavers here?

I never heard of pin looms so I checked out your website.   Very interesting but I don't think it's for me.   My mother was a weaver of sorts.   Dad made her a loom which is out in my garage,  didn't know there's a market for them.

I was at the Pueblo Indian Cultural Center here in Albuquerque one day when they were having dancing and demonstrations of native crafts.   I sat down with a Navajo woman who was weaving and asked her a bunch of questions about her work.   I have 5 or 6 Navajo rugs and there were things I always wondered about.
