Any advice for a possibly new Dish subscriber?

My dh & I finally got some trees cut down that were blocking the satellite view (according to a technician that came out here a year ago), and are thinking of asking Dish to re-evaluate us for their service. Does anyone have any helpful tips on getting the best deal out there right now? I would hate to sign up, then find out that we missed the boat on a better deal! We also would be happy to give someone the nod for referring us, if we end up getting it. I would like to help one of you benefit with a free month (or whatever the perk is for referring new customers these days), rather than just get the service without helping someone else out. We don't know anyone personally that has Dish, so I thought of signing on here & asking around.
