A new one on me! These look like a little stick you'd pick up on the floor. VERY little. Black. I picked one up yesterday and threw him in the commode. Wow!. The stick turned into an ant or something. All of a sudden his legs or feet came out on each side and he was swimming! I'd say they are about as big as an exclamtion mark. ! Until they released their legs on each side~~so yucky. Thankfully, it's not an infestation. I just see one or two a day. Would like to know what the heck they are. Google didn't do me any good.

Could it be a centepede?  They have tiny legs on each side.

Re: Ants or what can it be?

I found this, mantis nymphs. They resemble tiny twigs or bits of dried grass. @Judaline

@Judaline , might be an earwig.. They are thin and black. They have legs, but you don't see them when they are moving along.

@Tissyanne   Totally off topic but I had to laugh about earwig.  When one of my kids was small, he would describe one of his balding teachers having an earwig.  đź‘´

@Judaline Sounds like a baby mantis to me.  Please try to get them outside as they are great bug hunters and our friend.  Just saying

These replies have me looking around the house.  The small ones are always the creepy ones.
