Glitter isn't allowed here, either. I made the mistake of buying a Christmas centerpiece with  glitter two years ago. I couldn't believe how much it shed. The same year I bought a glitter shell to wear to my dh's holiday party. What was I thinking? I didn't remove it from the hanging bag from the store until the day of the party. I put it on early in the day before getting my hair done. Everywhere I went I left a trail, felt like Hansel & Grettel! After the party, I put it in a laundry bag from our hotel room & threw it away, with dh's blessing. It didn't matter if I dry mopped, wet mopped or vacuumed, it took forever to clean it up.

Lesson learned, no more glitter!!
