Contractors are notorious for this type of thing.  I cannot even begin to tell you the nightmare we had trying to get someone to do work for us in our bathroom.

Now he needs to come back and fix something and it has been a month.  I told DH I should have withheld more money from his final payment. What the guy wanted held back until he came to fix what needed to be fixed wasn't enough incentive.

Just had the same issue with a hardscape by a contractor.  Promised Tuesday he would be there Thurs.  No show, no call.  Happily found someone else.  My list is usually good also but stone stairs is an unusual job for us.  LM
