Hello all,
I am contemplating the purchase of my first home. I have yet to talk about this with family and friends because they will go into overdrive with their advice. I know they mean well but I'd like to begin this process on my own. I've spent the day on the internet but I'm feeling overwhelmed with all the information.
My questions are:
What are my first steps to take, talk to my bank, hire a real estate agent, etc?
Are there programs to help first time buyers? tax credits?
What are things I should be doing right now, I'd like to buy in the spring, although there is a house I saw online that I am very interested in, I'm assuming because I'm in the beginning steps I probably shouldn't look into to buying this home, or am I wrong about that? I'd hate to pass this home up, if there is a possibility to get it.
Any advice, even concerning things I haven't considered would be extremely appreciated.I'm one of those people who wants to know as much as possible before I jump into something.. I want to be as prepared as possible.
Thanks so much.
