Just wondering what everyone's opinions are on a couple adjustable beds. Which is better? A sleep number or temperpedic. I could be wrong but in researching it looks like sleep number is a little less expensive then the temperpedic. I am looking at the performance series in a sleep number with the flex 2 base. Anyone have any opinions on these two beds?

I now have the temperpedic adjustable bed and I love it. I had a sleep number bed, but not the adjustable, and the pump went out 2 times over the years. Made the decision for getting the Temperpedic much easier.

Theyre made in completely different ways and probably feel different. I'd have to try both in person before deciding. Not a product for TV purchasing.

I agree about buying on TV.
Can anyone verify the temperpedic is more expensive. Or is it that sleep number just has more options.

My parents got a Temperpedic in 2000, and in 2015 they replaced it with a Sleep Number. They are happy since the pums are now fixed so they don't deflate with the power goes out. They aren't adjustable, but they love being able to adjust the firmness. They did travel to a Sleep Number store to try them out.

I recently priced both Sleep Number and Temperpedic. The Temperpedic for a king size with adjustable base was around $6000.00 I think the Sleep Number was a bit less. I could not justify either. Both seems ridiculously priced. I got a king memory foam with adjustable base for about $1400.00 and I love it. No regrets.
I would never buy a bed off tv. You have to try before you buy.

What brand did you buy for that price. I priced the sleep number on their website and a full size performance series (they had a sale and this is the mid level series ) was a little less then $3000 for the matress and base.
I would never buy a bed online without trying it. The only way I would is if I tried it in the stores and found a good deal online.

The price of a sleep number will depend on whether you get partial or full adjustability and on which thickness of mattress you get. When we tried them in the store it turned out that I liked a very low sleep number which was not comfortable in the thinner matress. We ended up getting the king split head and foot adjustable for about $7K. It was a lot of money but I love my bed. We have had it for about 2 years with no problems.

That is a good point about the thinner mattress. I was thinking I only needed the head to adjust but I really want the flex fit two where it is full adjustability. They have had some good sales last few months. I will defintly go into the sleep number store when I am ready.

I didn't know how much I would like the foot adjustibility until we had it. I sleep with my head slightly higher, but lifting my feet as been a godsend to my back - takes a lot of pressure off my lower back. Now I hate sleeping in a bed without it.
