Jane Crowley and her father have a vintage and antique shop picturesquely called "Dirty Jane's" in Canberra, Australia, stemming from their lifelong love of antiques.

She lives in Bowrall, not that far from Canberra, there in the lower right hand corner--

She and her husband took on renovation of a 1920's Bowrall cottage, that she could decorate in her vintage sensibility.

I can't remember all the animals they have, but do recall three rescue doggies and a duck.

English finds in this charming sitting room include the focal point pine cabinet (which hides the TV),  and one of those sought-after Knole sofas, that she had upholstered in a crewel fabric.   Cozy room!

I'm sorry most of the images are small!  This end of the room has their quaint wire-fronted library bookcase, and a treasured little side table that was Jane's grandmother's.  Love the mirror.

They had to tear out much of the 70's decor of the old cottage to get to their own style, like the pretty wood counter top...

Every corner of the cottage has visual delights.

Love all the old furniture in the dining area, the table, the country Queen Anne chairs, and especially the closed-up pine secretaire desk:

The bedrooms have a sweet simplicity.

She said she is a "blue" person, and that seems true...

A glimpse of the laundry room:

Another appealing aspect is her affinity for little touches of vintage art and paintings throughout...

Australian gardens have an entrancing "jungly" quality...

Not sure why, I often find myself so 'sympatico' with Australian houses.  Here, love the understatement, the combo and contrast of fine things and antiques with naive simplicity-- and a sweet rustic feeling as well, the appreciation of all things vintage and hand-made.

@Oznell    I like this house very much.  It's very charming and country, all which appeal to me.  I especially love the large oak armoire in the first pics.  It's just stunning.  Plus, the overall room gives quite a relaxing, serene setting.  I noticed she mixes metals in as well, which is a nice balance to so much wood.  The colors throughout are beautiful.  Thanks for sharing this one.😊💝

Oh my!  What a charming cottage!  I love her use of color and her decor!

The pine cabnet in the sitting room is wonderful and thankfully, not painted.

I would love to have that Queen Anne dining set.  Perfection!  he color and patina are like honey.  I wonder what the tall tan piece is to the left?

I don't blame them changing the dated 1970's kitchen.  Design at that was some of my most disliked.

I am also not fond of the 2 "folding" tables.  A small solid chest would have more visual interest and be safer with playful pups.

The first bedroom would have been so pretty with one of the antique high top beds for some drama.

I am a "blue" person as well and I love the shades she has chosen.

That pine cabinet is to die for. There are so many other lovely things in the sitting room, couches, table against the wall but my eye keeps going back to the cabinet. It's magnificent.

And look at the dear, sweet faces of two of her rescues (I almost missed the little one in the sitting room because of the cabinet.  Smiley Very Happy

So charming @Oznell thank you so much!

Such a serene and cozy cottage!

I love the colors throughout.

My favorites are: the simple, uncluttered bedrooms, the wood countertops in the kitchen (love), the gardens, the vintage art displays in the laundry room. Love it.

Thanks!Smiley Happy

The cottage is so cute. Her decor style is not for me but she's done a good job of coordinating everything and I absolutely love that she uses color. I'm very picky about prints and don't really care for the prints on her furniture, pillows etc.

What a beautiful space.  I'm NOT a blue person, but I love it anyway!  So charming and warm.

Thank you for sharing @Oznell. As others have said, it is truly a charming cottage and bless her for rescuing furry and feathered animals in need of loving homes!
