AN OLD-FASHIONED THANKSGIVING

This sort of grabbed me--

Tugs at heart strings.  It is a thrifted Thanksgiving table setting, and no less beautiful for that.  The simple organic decorations of pumpkins, wooden trenchers or dough bowls, beeswax candles.  Love the brick wall or chimney in back, the natural light on two sides, tawny, vintage dinnerware, simple lace runner.  And Old Glory tucked in.

Shows you don't need shiny new stuff to feast and be thankful.  Very thankful for everything this Thanksgiving.

@Oznell  Very "comfy-cozy" as my GD would say. Love the warm colors and the natural decorations. The chairs are a mixture, but they meld well. We have mixed chairs too, but ours don't meld quite as well. Smiley Frustrated

@Oznell

So warm and cozy!

I much prefer a lovingly curated interior. So much more unique and tells more of your story because you picked each individual piece and didn't just go to a big box store and buy the whole matching ensemble.

No matchy matchy and shiny new (as you say) here!

I think it is lovely. Sharing a meal with others is a blessing no matter the setting.

Thank you for this lovely photo and all it encompasses.

I really need Thanksgiving to be it's own unique holiday and this is the perfect inspiration.

I love everything about this! Reminds me of tables my grandmothers would set. Simple beauty at its best.
