I've always loved her for her style of decorating ...passion for life...she is just an all around neat person. I'm sorry the photos will not post...but, I thought those who didn't get her email would like to read. Never miss her shows...I always look forward to them. But I do agree with many others that her shows should be on at more reasonable times for both coasts. So I'm posting her letter here...without the pics...they will not copy over. Sorry....Enjoy...she is such an awesome person.
Hello Fall.
If I only had one reason why I love living on the East Coast, it would be because I love fall. Every year I look forward to enjoying the crisp weather, autumn colors, getting out my fall clothes, lighting the first fire and preparing for the Holidays.
Our summer had its moments of extreme heat, and rain but nothing we couldn't handle. Fall is fast approaching and I'm working on shutting down the gardens and preparing for the first frost!
I took on a huge project this summer, replacing the roof on my historic home. Because of its age, it took the talents of an extreme craftsman who understood how to hand cut the timbers and replace them in the style our ancestors commonly used.
I spent some time at New York's Fashion Week looking toward Spring 2014 but that's a long way off. Here are some of trends I like for Fall 2013.
Color: Charcoal to Slate — consider it this season's neutral
Fabric: Leather — No matter the season, leather has become a staple. This season it has an urban sensibility that's a little bit tough, a little bit punk.
Excited to see the new season of Dancing with the Stars — premieres on ABC — brand-new one night, two-hour format on Monday, September 16 at 8|7c. Valerie Harper is my hero. "She looked the Devil in the eye and spit in his face."
Loved Blue Jasmine with Cate Blanchett — Could be my favorite Woody Allen movie. It's a modern day "Streetcar Named Desire."
· Congratulations to Rebecca Budig who took over as host of BetterTV.
· My on-screen daughter Alicia Coppola aka @Alicia_coppola is doing very well with her book, Gracefully Gone.
· Looking forward to Season 2 of Prospect Park's relaunch of One Life To Live and All My Children online on iTunes, Hulu and OWN.
