Amber Interiors is one of the exemplars of the look which is inadequately described as "California soft modern", but I'll go with that term...
Their chief designer, Amber Lewis, did a "spring look book" at her site, which shows the continuation of a move toward warmer colors and tones in decorating, with tans, browns, ecru, terra cottas, greens. A nice direction, regardless of decorating style.
A few samples:
That incredible Swedish antique corner cupboard, underlines the romanticism of this interestingly moody dining room.
The bright breakfast nook with banquette, is perfect for day-to-day.
Kitchen details-- love the battered tea kettle, rustic plates, and checkered towel.
More details, like the soft scalloping of a table in one of the sitting rooms. It says the table is "olive ash burl", just yummy wood.
In the other sitting room, (family room, maybe?), I love the olive velvet club chairs--
The fabrics she uses contribute to the coziness.

Change some browns to creams and whites, replace some more rustic or odd furniture and I'd love it. It seems dark, but I think it is the lighting (or lack thereof) more than the house.
I would hate a dark house. Not into "cozy" except for a library.

Although I like the breakfast nook, I don't get a spring time feeling from that home.

I love the tree in the first shot and all of the flower arrangements; and especially the olive ash burl table.
What a beautiful area at the bottom of the staircase.
To me, this whispers early Fall, not spring. Whites and creams are my preference and while this is pretty, is a bit too drab and needs an infusion of color.
I always enjoy your postings Oznell, thank you so much!

@Oznell It is a lovely home but seems more like Fall to me. The rooms need more light.

As a person who prefers warmer tones in her home, I like seeing a shift back to them and away from all the greys and whites of the last few years. Still, I need more color than what I see in these spaces. I would brighten up the breakfast nook with some colorful pillows and table linens. I love the staircase!

Monochromatic, dark and dreary. Blech.

Love the staircase. and love the colors, I do think however that some more color is needed so that it doesn't feel so drab! I would definitely add color to the rooms!

Too dark and dreary for me. I prefer light and colors around me.

I like the style of the furniture and accessories but the colors are bleak and depressing. I say "NO" to a house full of neutrals. A little if that go a long way.
