Paloma Contreras is a designer with great taste, but a light touch.  I like the breezy simplicity of this Hamptons house she did--

This should have been in my pink and blue thread, ha.  Guess I just gravitate to those colors, combined with cream.   Bentwood, textured chairs look inviting, and reinforce the carefree "vacation" feeling...

In this photo below, you can really tell that the background is a true, soft vanilla, NOT sterile white.  One of the things I like about it.

I'm not sure, but guessing this is sort of a double parlor.  Love her eye for lamps--

It's a traditional setting, but there are little hints of jaunty "midcentury", like in the blue lamp--

And those slub-textured blue club chairs have updated Art Deco lines...  The view of the dining room from here is ethereal--

Again, really like that nothing is overdone in the dining area, but the gently eclectic mix avoids cliches and piques interest.  Love the vintage table with the fluted credenza and clean-lined lamps.

Re: AIRY HAMPTONS LIVING ROOM

I agree, easy breezy. Not thrilled with at picture as it wouldn't be my style but it works in the room.

I like those colors, and they're pretty much the colors I use; mostly ivory with accents of blues & greens. I like the wall art in the 1st pic, too. I like the modern feel of this home. In my home I combine modern with some vintage, but these Hamptons rooms still feel comfy without vintage.

The blue lamp reminds me of bubbles in the ocean.

Re: AIRY HAMPTONS LIVING ROOM

a very interesting mix in this room, I think those soft vanilla walls and drapes

keep it all cohesive. The natural fibers and the pops of the blue and pink combined ,give the room somewhat of a island vibe to me . I like that blue

lamp as well

Re: AIRY HAMPTONS LIVING ROOM

I do like the light and airy environment, the furnishings which fit the feel of the house.  While not my usual taste, I am drawn to the art work of the woman's face and the blues and pink colors, stand out and and eye catcher.  The rooms are perfect for a quiet relaxing vacation for a getaway. The lamps and dining room set are so lovely and the drapes enhance the rooms.  All in all I could spend some quiet time there!!!!!!

Well, I like the blue/purple hydrangeas, the white orchid, the pink pillows, the blue and yellow lamps and the blue chairsSmiley Happy

Those hydrangeas are the color my mother always had. She had a pretty hydrangea bush right by her house. And she would dry them too so she always had some inside in an arrangement.

To me it is a little toolight and airy.  It needs a few things to hold the floor down.

The house is beautiful, though not my style.  I am always curious as to what people call art.
