AFRICAN COASTAL

[ Edited ]

Just a quickie peek at an ocean-swept cottage, that is the brainchild of South African architect Alexander McGee.  It is steps away from a legendary surfing spot near Capetown, perched near a cliff, and surrounded by cypress.

The South African coast is so beautiful, and this tiny, surfer's cottage also almost has a feeling of clean, unadorned, old-California unassuming beachey-ness, if that's a word.  Escape!

This is a lovely place for an escape, the cottage is surrounded by such beauty.  While it is simply furnished and small, it would require little upkeep ,,just a nice place to stay and explore the environment. I do love the wood throughout.

I would like it for myself, but I can't see a family of 4 living there...

What a cute simple cottage!  I love the setting, too.

It's a cute cottage in a beautiful location but wouldn't be for me.  The stairway ladder and loft sleeping area would be a dealbreaker.

I don't do ladders so it's out for me. It is cute but the surroundings look very lush and buggy.... I am no lover of insects.

This is not for me...not even a weekend unless it has a pull-out sofabed and a lot of Off Insect Repellent.

Beautiful location.

I love the wood and everything about it except the loft. No ladders for me (unfortunately), otherwise it would be an idyllic hideaway.
