Re: A wintery view from my front porch

That view looks really stark and cold.  I've got sunshine, blue skies and 50° here today but wouldn't mind a little snow.

It is a couple of their lunch boxes. They carry small igloo style plastic coolers as lunch boxes. The boy in front set his down and someone stacked another on it. There is a deep ditch on that side of the road, and the kids are constantly fascinated with being in and getting things out of it. Frogs, snakes and any number of other things. I don't know what they were finding today, but they don't miss a trip up or down the road, without investigating what is in the ditch! LOL

There could be a small wagon with them as they sometimes pull a wagon up the road too.

Mostly apples, but they did mention they put in some pears and peaches too. It belongs to the neighbors across the road, our orchard is up and behind the house and with much more mature (bigger) trees. I'm anxious to see in a few years, the kind of yield they get as there are quite a few trees over there.

It was one of those early season snows that is really wet and heavy, and hangs on every tiny branch, fence post, wire, etc. That kind of snow is just magical, and usually melts quite soon, but this particular one last week, stayed all day and part of the next. Usually if we want pretty pictures of that kind of snow, we have only a couple of hours before the branches loose the coverage, from either sun, wind or warmth, but this was stunning all day long.

Looks cold, but made me smile. Thank you for sharing.

That's so pretty @Mominohio!  I'm looking forward to our first snow - as long as I don't have to go out in it!
