Yes we did, also in the early 80's....I actually had one while I was pregnant! At first I loved it, my husband did too, but after about a year, we fell out of love....I think we ended up keeping it for maybe another year, and then byebye. Hard to make the bed and hard to get out too.....They were so popular though....I remember it staying nice and cool though in the summer, which was nice!

I tried sleeping on one in the guest room of a friend's house in the 80's.....awful! I ended up on the sofa.

I only tried a waterbed once: it made me nauseous.

Had mine for twelve years and loved it. Only shared it with my cat. So comfortable and warm. By the time I hit 40, it was becoming difficult to get in and out so I got a regular innerspring mattress.
