Crafting is something I just don't do; my interests lie elsewhere. I am not knocking crafting nor the folks who enjoy it, but seriously, are there so many of them in the United States that HSN has to devote an entire day to it - once a month?

Re: A Whole Day Of Crafting?

My absoute favorite day to watch HSN.  I will watch as much as I can all day!  Already bought a few things.  Love that HSN does this every month!  And their shipping deal is awesome!!!!!

Yes, grammarqueen, there are that many people in the US that do all sorts of crafting and love doing it and it is fun to boot. Crafting is a big, big money making endeavor for many companies.  I love crafting days on HSN. Have purchased many card making products on these days. Keep 'em comin'!

@grammarqueen  ITA!  To each his own....

but who in the heck has time to waste  making  homemade "stuff" that no one else  REALLY wants as gifts?. I for sure would never want a homemade gift. Just take me off your gift list PLEASE.

I really don't think you are on anyone's gift list.

Re: A Whole Day Of Crafting?

I used to do some light crafting many years ago.  I thought it had really gone away, so surprised to see crafting shows.

The stores in my area have discontinued 90% of their craft stock because of lack of interest.

Re: A Whole Day Of Crafting?

It seems that most HSN "crafting" is paper crafting.  (And even that uses a machine to precision-cut all your stuff!)  It would be fun if they sold supplies for other crafts.  But I suppose there isn't enough interest and they wouldn't sell enough to be worthwhile.

@Dusty1   Just saying what many think when given homemade crafty gifts.... it is not something everyone likes or wants.  I just do not like those kind of things. Homemade food, candles, soap and such.

Re: A Whole Day Of Crafting?

Given all the sell-outs that often happen during craft days on HSN (including today's special which cost $400!!!!), HSN appears to do quite well during their craft days.  Crafting certainly does not appear to be dead.  (Of course, Michael's stores and Hobby Lobby could also attest to that.)
