This is a great kitchen. I really like the look and while I'm sure the appliances are modern, fortunately, I don't see anything modern about the decor.

I'd call the style "transitional".  You could mix tables and accessories from any period with the sofas which would be a good thing as the room needs character.  I was interested to note the Navajo rug on the floor which appears to be authentic.  Nice touch.

I think I'd like the kitchen better if all the cabinets were the same light green color. I don't like open shelves in a kitchen either so the plate storage would have to be changed. 

In the living space I would prefer a darker neutral color on the sofas. The letter over the fireplace has to go. I would  replace it with something else.

I don't like open shelves in the kitchen, but the rest is nice.

Also don't like that big letter over the mantel.

@just bee   Yes, those are rabbits.  I think that pull down shade is the cutest.  I also love that sink.  Speaking of rabbits, we have a woods behind our home and 5 rabbits living under our deck.  The little ones are especially cute and I imagine under our deck is a lot safer for them than the woods.  We get a big kick out of watching them out in the yard every day.
