I would change the fabric on the furniture to a chocolate brown, slate blue or sage green. I like the color of the wall.

I see that the latest style in kitchens is painted cabinets. Color preferences come and go. The olive and gold of years ago is now passé. The turquoise of the 60s is, at best, mid-century modern. Will people tire of the cupboard colors and keep painting every few years? Is open-concept here to stay? I don't know.

Don't see anything that looks modern, maybe the caramel lounge chair, but it fits in.  I like these rooms.

  • I like both rooms, but I would never want long open shelves with dishes which would have to be rehashed to eat off.

 

Also the big letter over tha mantle does nothing for the room and is unattractive.
