To each their own! If that's what they like good for them.  No judgement here.  I have a Ralph Loren red bedroom with white trim and I love it.

Not so wild about the potent chairs but love the tree with the wall color.  What fun that would have been to decorate!

@stevieb  I love it! The wall color is great. Fun people must live there.

Re: A Colorful Christmas...

[ Edited ]

You mean like me.

What holiday is this person celebrating?

Traditional Christmas colors are red and green, with silver, white, and gold.  Other than blue used in multi-color decorating, no other colors are acceptable to me. Some of you may remember my  comments on QVC's pink and pale blue "Easter"  decorations used for Christmas.

Purple is more of an Easter color, but in this room painted this color...for Christmas...no.

I would bet money that's a New Orleans Mardi Gras Christmas tree.

You never know how strong you are until being strong is the only choice you have.

The tree is colorful, festive, and fine. But, that dining set should be replaced. The bottle on the dining table looks like a bottle of champagne. Could the top of the tree be mimicking a burst like when a bottle of champagne is opened?

Perhaps this tree is meant to "stay up" and celebrate New Year's Eve.

@Kachina624

As I see it, purple is not a Christmas color.  A lighter purple, to me, is more Easter if we look at how it can be used for religious holidays.

I suppose we'll have to agree to disagree.

It has a regal look. I applaud anyone that does it their way.
