Re: A Cheerful Giver - Candles and Accessories

@LIG1  I bought Clean Crisp Cotton as well.  I like the Yankee Candle Clean Cotton, it is one of my staples, so I am looking forward to see their twist on this one.

@VaBelle35~ I think you'll be delighted with Cheerful Giver's scent of this candle, even though I'm not familiar with Yankee Candle's version of this one. Happy that you have one coming!

I forgot to say earlier about the paper wrapping you mentioned that's being used in shipping.. wow, it's some great packing material! Haven't had any problems with anything shipped and wrapped in it and IMO, it's better than bubble wrap.

@LIG1

I agree that that paper wrapping is much better than bubble wrap.

I opened mine carefully so I can re-use it for some gifts we're shipping at work next week.

I love the Cheerful Giver melts that I've used so far, Juicy Apple and Orange, Cinnamon and Clove.  I can't wait to try some other scents too but have enough for the winter now.

@LIG1 @VaBelle35   I have received numerous fragile items wrapped in paper that were broken upon recepit, so I prefer thick bubble wrap.  For these candles, paper is okay, but it shouldn't be used on very fragile items, in my experience.

@lucymo~ Believe it or not, I bought my first warmer just a few months ago.. don't know what took me so long to discover that I loved them. lol Anyway, gotta say, the CG Orange-Cinnamon-Clove is one of my absolute faves along with the Juicy Apple.

@LIG1  It must be that 'great minds' thing or in this case, 'great sniffers' thing.  lol   These two scents have a similar smell in a way.  I can't wait to try cozy cabin and the balsam.  I love using the melts and do that more than burning candles. I do still burn candles as I like the ambiance of them but also use flameless ones a lot.

@lucymo  That is the scent I am getting in the papa jar (will be much easier than heating mulling spices on the stove minus the cranberries...LOL) and maybe try the baby jar of Gingerbread Smiley Happy

@VaBelle35 Thanks for starting this thread. I never heard of this brand before so I checked out their site. I have quite a bit of YC, but I'll give this brand a go Smiley Happy

@Susan Louise  I think you will be pleased.  It has a great throw and rather strong at first in the melt but a great buy.  I love some of the YC, BBW and other brands but truly loving this one.  I know scents are a personal thing but I believe you'll be happy.

@lucymo  Thanks for letting me know. I'm looking forward to getting the candles. I haven't placed my order yet because I'm thinking of getting the large jar that looks like the YC jars instead since it will fit in the YC holder on our stove.

I'll let you know what I decided when I receive the candles Smiley Happy
