Love these. Right up my alley. The walls of the rooms are a bit light for me (although very French) but the fall decor is perfect.

I like pumpkins as decorations and I like these in the different colors and textures.

Wow, interesting-- those were among my favorites too, @just bee .  While liking a variety of colors, I seem to need in fall, a little of the traditional rusts, tawny colors, and deeper shades.  And I love the juxtapostion of weathered creams and textured blacks, charcoals...

Very pretty but lacks any warmth or color.  Why do people constantly have anemic colors in the homes?  Are they afraid of colors and want to be safe or do the just not like color?

Re: A BIT OF AUTUMN, FRENCH STYLE

Well, to answer your question, @Imaoldhippie ,  I do think people have different thresholds for color, or "lack of".  What is one person's "anemic",  is another person's "visual calm" or sense of serenity...

I generally see and enjoy both, IF they are done by somebody who knows what they're doing.  But I also have my own quirky personal leanings and also deal-breakers.  I like neutrals, but, they have to be soft, not harsh, and they have to be combined well, perhaps both warm and cool neutrals, and they must have the visual interest of different textures.  Texture is too often ignored, especially neutral  rooms, and the lack of it makes so many of them flat, to me.

On the other hand, I enjoy color, but for me it has to be gentle, slightly "off", often chalky pastels to medium tones.  A room full of primary colors quivers too much on my eyes, ha.  Ditto any insistently bright or saturated colors.

I'm sympathetic to people who find rooms too lacking in color, or, conversely too colorful-- I guess we each have to find our own level!

Re: A BIT OF AUTUMN, FRENCH STYLE

@Oznell ............There are houses or rooms that are very neutral and I think they are attractive, but I would not live with that.  There is always something very pretty in each neutral room.  When I lived in rented apartments I could not wait to have my own place so I could come home to color on the walls.

All of us being different is what makes the world go round.  Most people would probably faint if they saw the colors I have in my home. lol  The neutral folks outweight us color folks by far.

@Oznell

Very lovely.  She uses a light hand in vignettes as well as mainstay decor.  I love it.  Albeit I tend, for myself, toward more cozy English decor, I appreciate the French which my daughter has.  She is tidier than I am also.  I can get by with a lot of clutter and still make it decor Smiley Tongue

Ha, ha, @Nonametoday ,  I have no doubt that you have that very desirable knack of transforming it into decor, and a home to delight in.  Your informed and design-savvy posts over time have demonstrated that!

This is beautiful. I love the soft muted accents. It’s just enough to give a contrast. It’s easy on the eye.
