2nd largest budget item-household cleaners, paper, minor repair

I am working my budget. Since I own my home, my "household" budget category is second only to my food. Last year it was $2,000.

Due to my disability, I hire folks to do my cleaning. Back when I cleaned, I use natural products & it was a minor expense.

I have two aids who are in love with Clorox wipes, Swiffer products and paper towel. I do like how the Swiffer dusters get rid of the dust on the decorative items & books.

I have some mixed feelings about laundering cleaning clothes with regular clothing, towels, etc. I always ran a separate load for cleaning clothes & did not include dish towels. With Texas being in an almost constant state of drought, sepeate load of cleaning clothes doesn't seem like a good idea.

My questions:

1. Do you wash your cleaning clothes & mop heads seperately?

2. Recommended ways to inntroduce green cleaning to those who have never thought of it?

Your thoughts appreciated.
