What...no hooked rugs?
It's charming but I would prefer a newer reproduction home.
The tv in the armoire isn't in a comfortable spot at all.

Being a native and lifelong New Englander I am used to seeing houses that (on the exterior) look almost exactly like this one. There are probably a few right in my own city.
The interior restoration and the fact that much of the inside must have survived the decades of popular decor trends is remarkable!
I like alot of her tables, armoires and accent pieces but most of her upholstered stuff and lighting choices are a miss for me.
If I were willing to tolerate the contemporary stainless steel refrigerator anachronism in the kitchen then I would have definitely gone with cabinet doors on the kitchen bases instead of those heinous curtain covers. IMO they never would have looked good in any time or place!
I agree with the poster who was taken aback by the rings atop the curtains. Boo! Also, the drapes that "pool" on the floor are another style that would never be in a house of mine. The fireplace in the bedroom must be purely decorative (another thing I don't believe in!) because the bricks look like they need to be pointed in several spots.
It is a beautiful FP and should be restored to working order just like the other gorgeous ones in the house.
This rustic look that gives so many posters the yips is my favorite. I would be more likely to scream if I had to live in one of those hideous, soulless boxes with flat glass panels that are currently being inflicted on us.
Other than that, I really didn't think too much about this.

A bit too rustic for me, but very charming, and with a nice "homey" feeling!

What a wonderful job restoring this 1700s home. I was imagining the original family living there, and also wondering what difficulties (if any) this modern family was finding with a home built so long ago. Thanks for posting!

Great that they did that, and for people in tune with that style. Just not at all my thing.

There's an antique armoire or two that I think are beautiful but, overall, this is just way too much out of my style preference to really appreciate much.

I like seeing others decorating in their own taste that reflects them. This home seems very country cozy to me. It brings back other era's with a few more conveniences. Not a bad idea!

All that chipped paint. Huge no ! But thanks for posting. I like modern and sleek, so this is not my preference.
