I just came across this item in the new VPH offerings and thought it was quite clever:

They take up so much room to store so hang them up.  Great idea.

In theory it's a good concept but not in practice. Anything with plastic suction cups and glass is a disaster waiting to happen. Suction cups can lose their grip on mercury glass spheres and BOOM, crashing into millions of pieces. Easy pass for me.

@loriqvc I, too, thought those were very clever, especially since I've been considering donating my set of spheres.  I wish they had offered them in gold or bronze/black, though.

@BabyYoda I don't think they are intended to hold the weight of the spheres hanging.  Since the bottom of the spheres is flat, I don't think they would look good hanging anyway.

Hold off on donating your spheres until next year, perhaps.  If these sell well, hopefully Valerie will offer more choices next year, even ribbed or ornate patterns, along with the different colors.

I think they're a cool way to use the spheres, even though I don't have any spheres.

NOTE: I very highly doubt the toppers are meant for use in hanging; the design appears to be just for a whimsical decorative touch.
