In our home we always called it filling. My dads  whole Pennsylvania family called it that. Go figure. LOL 

I did not grow up in Pa.but we adopted the name filling.

Originally from the Suburbs of Chicago, we called it stuffing and my mom always stuffed the bird as did I when I still cooked.  We also  had extra outside the bird.  It was all stuffing to us.

I call it stuffing in Arizona. My parent were from from Ohio but moved here in the 60's so we always called it stuffing.

I stuff turkeys. I never thought of dressing it. Is it because it's naked & we can't let the children see?

Growing up in Philly we called it dressing.  Here in Delaware it's stuffing.  Although it is not stuffed anymore, it's cooked in a crock pot.

I'm in my late 60's and lifelong Philadelphian. I've never called it dressing and never met anyone around here that does...until now😀

To me dressing and stuffing are two different dishes with different ingredients.

Stuffing is the typical seasoned bread cube dish. Dressing is a poultry seasoned mashed potato, grated onion dish.
