I just discovered water lanterns .... kinda like battery operated snow globes.  Yes, they are battery operated ... yes, they have glitter.

I got the skeleton one for Halloween on the internet.  I'm in love!

Does QVC sell this sort of thing?   I 'need' more of them.

HSN is more likely to have them than QVC.  Zulily usually gets a few, too.  Batteryoperatedcandles. net has the RAZ ones.

@Marsha2003: I ordered two of the Christmas water lanterns from HSN this past august; just horrible...

. I was so excited when they arrived; well, one of them was leaking all over the place and the second one was just starting to leak.. The original box was saturated.. To top it off, there was such a bad odor, smell, whatever it was, it stunk.. The water was so slimy..

I called HSN headquarters & gave them a piece of my mind.. I told them this was cheap, cheap, toxic China garbage.. Last year I had ordered a beautiful water lantern; instead of glass it was plexiglass all around in a pretty bronze tone metal.. That I was afraid might leak; but it didn't ..

I bought something similar a couple of years ago from QVC. It was fun until it stopped working. The water just stopped circulating and all the glitter fell to the bottom. Even with new batteries it neer worked again.

Darn ... I sure hope mine doesn't go kaput right away.

Regardless ... I will enjoy it for as long as it works.

@classic What bad luck and so disappointing.  I have a couple from HSN, one Christmas and one patriotic; they've both been fine.

These are really cute. I just looked them up on Amazon and found a beautiful angel water lantern. I always buy my granddaughter a snow globe for Christmas. I kind of like this as something different. It runs on batteries and has a timer,
