I ordered Valerie's Church Under Glass last week. I regretted not getting it in July when it was a TSV, so I was so happy to see it finally back in stock.
It was delivered yesterday. When I brought the box into the house, I could hear the broken glass. I carefully opened it, and to my sadness discovered the glass dome was shattered.
I am heartbroken. I don't want to send it back and take a chance on getting another broken dome. I just want the glass dome.
This is the first time I've ever received something broken. And, I wound up getting cut on a piece of glass.
The church is so beautiul. I put the batteries in and I love the sparkle and the lights.

Hi Brii, I am so very sorry that this Illuminated 13" Holiday Scenes Under Glass by Valerie arrived with the broken dome. I have put a request in to see if we can send a partial replacement of the dome out to you. Please allow 7-10 for our returns department to process this request, you'll either received the dome or a contact call advising how to proceed with the damaged item.
We hope that you were not injured by the broken glass and we ask that you disposed of it, we will not ask for the return of this item. I have noted the order that you had received it damaged and that we are working to resolve. If you have any questions about this please email us at QVCSocialTeam@qvc.com

Well, that was resolved quickly. I hope they remember this time to put "FRAGILE - GLASS" stickers on the package.

Yes, they should mark the boxes fragile. It's such a beaituful item. The box should be marked "Fragile"

@Kim-QVC I am so happy that QVC has posters on the forum to reply to problems and answer questions that we have.

@brii I'm so sorry that your church cloche was broken. That is so disappointing and that church one is just gorgeous. I'm glad that the Q is working on it for you. I like having the reps on here to help us out.

From the mouth of a family member who works for the USPS...putting a "fragile" or "handle with care" sticker on a package does nothing to ensure careful handling. Most sorting is done by machine anyway....
Sorry your item arrived broken. I am glad QVC will help you get another one. I have one and they are beautiful!

Update:
UPS delivered my replacement glass dome. I am so pleased at how quickly it came.
It was not damaged. I do find it amusing that it literally had one sheet of bubble wrap surrounding the dome and was rattling around loose in the box. LOL
The original came so nicely packaged and wound up shattering in transit. Go figure...
