On Valerie's fb page she is asking for what people are looking for in Christmas decorations for 2026.

Since I don't have a fb account I can't share my input. I like when Valerie does a livestream on Q because then I can add a comment.

Re: Valerie Asking for Ideas

I saw the request from Valerie on facebook. I am a fan of her urn fillers so I requested several variations of those.

I don't have any, but I'd love things with the little lights.

@qualitygal

I love things with the little lights too.  Have many of her hurricanes.

Recently received this in Christmas, the little street lantern lights are very cute.  No pic of it, just Harvest.

[ Edited ]

I, too, have the new Christmas version of this and it is adorable and I think reasonable in price.

I don't do FB either, but I would want more of the flat foldable village scences like this, only taller.   They have sold ouf for this year in a version that looked to be about 18" tall.  ]

I find they are much more flexible in decorating that having several separate standalone 3-D houses or such and don't take up as much storage space.

I find they give a lovely atmosphere to decorate an area with, but don't require batteries or such and are easy to pack away.

I would also advocate for less glitter and fewer breakable glass things.

Have you ever broken a snowglobe?   It is a horrible dangerous mess.

You have the water and the wet glitter but the glass of the globe is so thin it becomes hundreds of pieces of very sharp invisible glass mixed in with all the water.    It is so awful have to clean up because you just don't see the sharp pieces.  Of course, they don't break unless there are small children in bare feet around so it is panic city tyring to keep them away from it

Re: Valerie Asking for Ideas

Valerie has a number of things that I really like but would only consider buying if they weren't strictly seasonal.  I'd like to see her make the seasonal aspect removable so the item could be displayed year round with the seasonal decoration added at the appropriate time of the year.

For example, she offers a pair of deer with garlands that I really like but only if the garlands were removable.  Same with her rocking horse.  It is beautiful but I'd like to be able to remove the Christmas tree and decor.

What is good for the goose today will also be good for the gander tomorrow.

Re: Valerie Asking for Ideas

I don't have my own FB account either.

But if I could tell Valerie and her team something, I would ask for more small items (not ornaments) to give as gifts.

Every holiday season I was able to find a set of small items I could split into gifts for my groups. Since we're all getting older now, a few years ago I was thinking of giving something edible instead. Then two of them told me how much they look forward to the little decorations I give. One said she gets them out every year and puts them all around her house.

I haven't bought anything this year. I find it harder and harder to find unusual small decorations.  Smiley Frustrated
