Re: VALERIE'S LANTERN IS HERE

I like the idea, but I don't want a lantern I'd need to store.  I'm going to keep an eye out for a miniature house and try to make my own.  The illumination could be added with fairy lights.  Then I'll only have to store the small items!

The autumn description -

  • Fall: wagon filled with pumpkins, dog and fall tree; resin stone wall with illuminated mini lantern at each corner; metal lantern with clear glass panels

Re: VALERIE'S LANTERN IS HERE

It looks very crowded inside it to me, and the taller tree looks like a combover.  I'm curious to see a presentation that includes a studio blackout to see the details in the dark.  I don't know that this would read well on a shelf or in a corner.  You might have to kind of get up close to see what it is.

I think she should have stuck with the under glass scenes.

OMG! I cannot believe you said this! I thought the exact same thing when I took a look at it this morning, just didn't verbalize it.

But boy when you did, I laughed out loud and hard and long as well.

You crack me up!

Me too! @ILUVChristmas

I wish she had brought some different ones this year. Some more nature inspired. Like one with beautiful cardinals or birds on a snowy branch, one with deer in a snowy field, maybe a rustic barn covered with snow, one with just pine cones and greens glittered with snow.

The originals were so well done, I can just see so many more options. And offer just the inserts, so we don't have to buy complete sets if we don't want to.

Re: VALERIE'S LANTERN IS HERE

I love the concept and am glad the red lantern we begged for finally materialized, but it isn't one that I must have, which is a relief actually.

LOL at Combover tree.  Perfect description.  I'm betting that it will have a new 'do during presentation.  ;-)

The Harvest Scene Lantern is below.  I think it's so adorable.  I just want the Fall lantern, not the Christmas one.  Wonder if that will be possible?

Re: VALERIE'S LANTERN IS HERE

Interesting. While I feel the Christmas lantern is too packed, I think the Autumn one looks kind of sparce.  I think the mini lanterns and tree are cute, but the wagon looks like a child's toy to me.
