While one person may feel it's not worth it to spend their hard earned money on an item that may, or may not be, available a year from now others are free to feel otherwise.

Bidders obviously feel differently. Others may have money to burn. Others may want instant gratification and don't want to wait a year. Others may be in a position where they are afforded an unlimited decorating budget for various reasons.

Unless someone is dipping into my pocket, I don't care what they buy or what they spend.

I buy most of my eBay items, buy now.  A lot of times mostly free shipping.  Many times I check Amazon and eBay, and many times eBay is cheaper.

To each their own, and how others spend THEIR money.

Yikes! That original auction ended up at $195.50 + shipping.

Several others are now up fetching well over $100.

Yes, the shipping cost was $13.71. Makes QVC's $5.50 look not so bad after all.😆
