I have a question for you. In the local store, did you happen to see the green eucalyptus candle rings? I know that you bought the rust version, but I've found both a muted green and a rust color, at Christmas Tree Hill, and I'm thinking of ordering both.
From the pics, I would guess that the quality (as in not glossy or super fake looking) of both choices will be the same, but it would help me a lot to have your opinion, if you have seen the green.
Thanks.
Below is the English Boxwood. I'd like to try it, too, but I'd have to order from a different site and pay shipping all over again.
Did you see it locally?
I have seen the eucalyptus (green) in person, and the 'shine' level is minimals. Not as matte as the rust one, as I recall, but I don't recall it being fake looking especially from a bit of a distance.
I honestly can't recall seeing the English boxwood in person though. If it is from the same company, I'd have to guess the matte should be close to the same.
Edited to add" I think my mom has some of the plain green eucalyptus but in the wreath, and while it just wasn't my style when she got it, the longer I have looked at it, the more and more I think it is very elegant and pretty. Looks great for spring and summer in a big lantern she has.

What do you think of these?
They're by VPH, coming soon, I think.
Those look pretty nice @SHOPR
I hope they bring in enough to actually have a presentation so we can see them up close.
@SHOPR Those are very nice! I just rarely use candle rings. I got 4 from the Finley set at Grandin Road last year when I got the wreath from the same set and just don't need anymore.
@Mominohio You use a lot of candle rings. How many pillars do you use when decorating for Fall/Holidays? I ask beecause we don't even have a diningroom table in our small home. I also don't use candle rings when I use any of VPH pedestals...so that might be another reason why I don't use as many candle rings as other folks do...just guessing.
I hope they will have a presentation for everyone
I do have a lot of pillar candles out in my house. Both Luminara and Mirage.
We do have a small dining room and I have three matching lanterns in there, all with Luminaras of varying sizes from 9inch down to votives. They are a primitive country look, like lumpy and dusted with cinnamon (if that makes any sense and much prettier than I make them sound). There is one large lantern on the table, one medium on the sideboard and one small one on a side table. Each of those have some kind of ring in them for various seasons.
I also have up to 4 pillars in my living room at any given time, some on pedestals and one in a bird cage, some on chargers or trays. If I have a candle on a pedestal, it always has some kind of ring with it.
We have a pretty big family room, so there can be up to six candles there at times too. Some in lanterns, others in pillars or trays.
And in the bedrooms there is often a pillar with some kind of ring or wreath around the base.
Fall and winter see more candles and rings out, and summer I tend to put away many of them.
Some of my candle rings seem more Christmas as they have aged jingle bells or stars on them, others are just greens and pine cones that I use for all winter. I have a number of fall ones, but virtually nothing for summer.
Edited to add. I use candle rings to set MG pumpkins inside for a base as well.

@Mominohio I use Grandin Road's Garden Vine rings for summer, their Chloe rings for Easter/Spring, and their Christmas rings, in addition to many other types of Christmas rings at Christmas. They really add a pop. In the kitchen on the island there are two very large open lanterns bought at zulily, in fact they are selling today, and instead of putting the rings inside as I did for Spring, I put them on top with the Mirage candles inside. It looks great, except that while I am food prepping, I can't see over one of them to the tv, lol, so have to do a weave and bob to see.

@mousiegirl, When I read this I immediately knew which open lantern you meant. I still want to own that lantern! I just don't really have a year-round place for it, and I know I'd want to use it all the time, so I haven't ordered one. If you ever see it offered at a much lower price (It's $49 today) I would appreciate a heads up. If the price is right, I'm sure I can justify the purchase. LOL

@Mominohio, Thanks so much for the reply. I saw the wreaths on the wholesale site and thought they looked pretty, especially the rust. I will think on the green eucalyptus a bit more before deciding what to order.

@SHOPR I will. Mine arrived without glass, so don't know if that was an error in the description, but because of this, I was refunded, and it doesn't bother me now that there is no glass, they still look good to me.

If you have an Ace Hardware near you, they will cut glass for you for your lantern if you want.
Lowe's also has a glass cutting area.
I found a cute wooden shelf at Goodwill that was missing the shelves. Ace cut me the glass I needed for only a few bucks!

Warning: Do not go to Christmas Tree Hill website, unless you have LOTS of time to browse. I'm finding all kinds of items that are at least a little tempting, and quite a bit of it looks like things we've seen from QVC and VPH.
