@Winter Holiday ~ Good point about the lime green color! A year or two ago I purchased Valerie's flameless tree candles and was really surprised at how lime the color was. I was hoping for a true evergreen color and realized they would stick out like a sore thumb in my home. The same holds true for the set of three flameless tree candles she offered this past weekend. The color, while not horrible, was just too bright for the way I decorate.
(Ultimately, I decided to cancel the gingerbread people & peppermint trees. I couldn't justify paying over $70.00 for something that might work. I could get something really nice from a local antique store for that price. Totally my fault ~ I should have thought more before hitting the submit order button.) :-)

@lucymo Thanks, Lucymo, I'm glad you like yours. Jill only showed them for a moment so I took a leap of faith on them. It's the darndest thing about that tree, when the multi coloured lights are on. It's like stars in a black hole while the white light setting lights up the room! I don't so much need the lights toned down as for the ornaments to show UP! Looking forward to seeing them in person.

@mousiegirl Thanks so much for the info. I couldn't really tell what size those birds were so I kept trying to spy them on the trees on set! I'm glad they are large enough to notice on the tree. Your white tree sounds beautiful! I've always thought the white flocked trees, when lit at night, have a sort of etherial magic about them.

@lucymo wrote:@MTH If opening and closing those wire hangers is too much just get you some thin wire and cut workable lengths. Run the wire through the wire hanger and wrap around the form wire then through the next ornament until all the way around. Shape ornaments how you want them to look as you go. Once all is finished the ornaments will be fitted in and won't move around. I think the wire might be the easiest way as a lot of the shatterproof ornaments don't have the wire hanger, just a plastic one.
I've been playing with this wreath I have to see how this works.
@lucymo The only things that looks difficult is the back. How do you get it to be able to hang relatively flat with the ornaments?? I guess that's where the shaping as you go sort of comes in.

@MTH It looks like they did the back first because it is an even straight row of those swirl ornaments. Thats what make it hang or sit flat. I'm going to try a gold/silver one when the ornaments are out. HL has some out but theirs is a little on the pricey side even with the discount. I wouldn't mind paying more for some on the top side but the back ones aren't showing except on the sides of the wreath. I think we can those swirl ones in most colors. Just take a picture of the ones I posted and that will help you with placement. It will be fun and I'm always proud of stuff I do myself (well, sometimes I'm not) lol

@candys mine Here is the tree. I placed my birds on the tips, and in person, they really do show up.

I haven't cancelled anything only because I couldn't bring myself to order much.
Several times I had things in my cart that I WANT but because I live in a condo I would have to get rid of some things I already have in order to have room for the new stuff, so I just never completed the order.
This fall I'll probably go thru my holiday stuff and see what I may not want anymore (there was some cheaper looking stuff I bought last year (from the Q) that I wasn't thrilled about) so maybe I'll order some replacements.
What I did order this weekend though were a few of the final items we wanted to make a fireplace display since we don't use it.

@mousiegirl WOW! How cool is that! ( No pun intended) I see the birds on the tips. That's the size I'm looking for and I'm hoping the crystals on the tail catch the light too. Can I just say I LOVE all the creatures about the tree? Snowy owls, polar bears ( LOVE 'EM!) and could that be a snow bunny in the tree on the lower right side? The red with the white really pops. Your tree has a lot of personality to it, not just ornaments and lights. Really , really nice!

@candys mine Thank you. At the end of decorating, I still had a curled up white fox so for lack of another place to put him,. on the tree branch he went.
