@MTH  Go check out the ornament wreath, H208704, and you can see the metal wreath form in a lot of places.  Enlarge it and it appears to me that they used small wire to attach the ornaments to the form.
This wreath is smaller than mine as it is 17" and mine is 24" so I have larger ornaments than this one does.  I'll post pics.  I love the gold and silver mix.

@lucymo  You're right about seeing thru it and the size was one of the issues I had. I kept trying to measure the space last night and thinking it might appear a bit small.   I think I just may be brave enough to try to make my own and can pick my own size.   I assume the wreath forms can be had at the big craft stores.  Ornaments will be easy enough to find.  The only thing it won't have is the lights.   I'm sick of the batteries anyway.  If Valerie's wreath wasn't lit, it wouldn't have cost so much and I may have been tempted to just get it, but I didn't want to spend $40 on something I didn't intend to light.

@Mominohio  I cancelled four items.  Once the finials arrive, if I don't love them, back they go, but I am expecting at least to love the red.

I am sure Valerie will bring much more new.  Last year, some of her best items were toward the end of the Christmas shows, so decided if I could live without something now, better for me to wait it out to see what else she brings.

I ordered the brown finials and the spheres to match (along with the champagne spheres in that same line), and I'm really undecided about them. I don't do spheres at all, just find them too modern, but thought that as much as I have loved the finials, these spheres made to match them exactly might be just the finishing touch to some vignettes.

I'll be very choosy when they all get here, and may not keep any of it, but since I have been so happy with the previous finials, I had to give the brown a try.

And I hope you are right about some more new from Valerie. I was so frustrated last night, things gone before they could present them again. It makes me mad enough to just turn the show off completely. There is no excuse for a vendor like Valerie (or the buyers who decide what gets purchased and how much) to begin an event or show with 3000 of this or 1200 of that.

@mousiegirl

@Mominohio   It seemed to me that the purpose of this CIJ was to  get rid of all of the items that didn't sell last year, with only a few new.

Zulily had better Christmas products last year than Valerie's "new" items this year, and I am worried when their Christmas things are presented as I don't have much will power with zulily products.

I bought the chocolate finials also in addition to two red sets.

@lucymo

I had this gold one bought but cancelled it. The graphic on air said free shipping, and it wasn't coming up that way online, so I called CS and they fixed it to free shipping.

I ordered quickly, as the trees were gone before they even presented.

I cancelled because I really wanted trees to match, and because upon studying the pictures, I noticed lots of gaps and seeing the wire foundation, and the seams on some of the bulbs was going to drive me nuts. They could have at least mounted those bulbs  so the seams didn't stick out right front and center.

I'm looking for something like this, but perhaps higher end would be better.

@Mominohio  Lucy is gonna post pics of hers for me so I can try to make my own.  Watch for it to show up in case you want to try to make it too. I really wanted the trees as well. I looked at them earlier in the day but waited too long. Now I'm sort of glad I didn't do it. If Lucy's info looks easy enough, I want to make one a little larger too.

Yes, same. I rarely cancel anything because I only order if I'm sure. I'll put the item in my cart to decide and refresh if I haven't decided, but I only place the order once I'm sure. I usually only cancel if I realize I ordered the wrong size, used the wrong address, etc.

Once I canceled something because it didn't show up as an Advance Order anywhere until after I placed the order and it was a LONG advance time. A few weeks went by and I changed my mind.

@MTH@  HL has the wreath forms @around $3 and maybe even Walmart.  Dollar Tree sometimes has the shatter proof ornaments that are pretty.  If I'm going to make something I look around for best  prices because even making our own can be expensive.  I will count how many ornaments are on my wreath and that will give you a good idea how many you will need.

@lucymo Thanks. That will be a good idea to have.  I have a huge HL and Michael's by me too. I'm sure either place will have what I need.  This may be fun, although I'm not very crafty.  But this looks like something I would want to try to do.

@Mominohio  We could make trees too.  LOL  Some of those seams on the ornaments  can ruin an otherwise pretty item.  But with the seams right across the middle it is hard to hide them.  In a perfect world the trees and wreathes would be made of lovely glass  ornaments, which I would quickly drop and break.  But wouldn't that be a gorgeous item made that way?

@MTH  I posted front, back and I removed one ornament to show how they are attached.  If ornament doesn't  have wire hangers you would need to use small thread wire to attach. This wreath has approximately 75 ornaments, 6 @31/2" others are 2 1/2 and a few filler ones a little smaller.  The wreath is approximately 24" diameter.  The form is at 17".  If you need more info just ask.

Re: So who cancelled a lot this morning?

I cancelled 3 items:

H206602 - S/8 Glittered Snowflake Ornaments from Jill's show. - They were really substantial and inexpensive, but I'd rather find more unique individual ornaments.

H208524 - S/6 New Silver Scroll Ornaments from Lenox - They are very similar to last year's, so eventhough I like to buy the new set every year, it would be silly to have imitations of ones I already own.

H205331 - Silver Snowflake Mosaic Bowl by Valerie - I've wanted this since last year, and the price is so good, but I just can't figure out where I'd put it.  I'd use it on my coffee table, but with it being so low to the ground, you'd see the microlights everytime you went anywhere near it, and the focus would be the lights, and not the bowl.
