This particular ancestor gave a husband to the Civil War.

He never made it home as he died on the way home . We don't even know where he is buried. Her grave is where we honor both of their sacrifices.

@Mominohio  I love the flower arrangements that you made.  So simple yet beautiful and appropriate for the day.

Even more beautiful is the picture of the gravesite.  It captures the essence of Memorial day and what we should honor.  It's a stunning photo and I think you should enter it in a contest somewhere.  Perhaps your local television stations might be another place you can send it to.  The local stations here in the Boston area show such images.
